All Quiet On The Theatrical Front?
No! Not at all. It only look like it by the lack of posts here in the merry month of March. Fact is, we are so ultra busy with Fame, Farndale and Annual General Meeting stuff that we haven't been home to even look online!
Let us fill you in...
Preparations for our major musical, Fame: The Musical are well underway with the GV getting a taste or two of things to come from our cast who danced on the taxi at the SheppARTon Festival much to the delight of 1) the youth that were out in force that night and 2) everyone who wished they still lived in the 1980s. Sam Ryan, (who plays Serena in Fame: The Musical) was also kind enough to let everyone at the Shine Festival hear what a vocally able girl she is by belting out "Let's Play A Love Scene".
You may have noticed too that on stagtheatre.com you can now click and find all the info (which there will be more of in coming weeks) about STAG's 2007 play and official entry into the VDL Awards, They Came From Mars And Landed Outside The Farndale Church Hall Just In Time For The Townswomens Guild's Coffee Morning, (that was a mouthful - or is that handful seeing as how I'm typing?). This show is sure to be a cracker - so stay tuned and you'll see what dreadfully amusing things the Farndale ladies can get up to this time 'round.
Finally, Shepparton Theatre Arts Group's Annual General Meeting will occur on Wednesday March 28 at the Bakehouse commencing at 7.30pm. Now, we all know that Aaron-David will not be running for President this year - so who will be? Oh, the excitement! It's like watching Australian Idol. Or not. Why not come along, support your company and find out all the executive information that we know you all so dearly love to hear.
There folks, that's it in a nutshell. Busy, busy STAG. Now, off to find some ballet dancers and whip them into shape ready for May 18 - Fame: The Musical's opening night. Remember - tickets at Riverlinks NOW! (03) 5832 9511.
