The hills will once more come alive with the sound of music as Shepparton Theatre Arts Group brings the evergreen Rodgers and Hammerstein classic to the WestSide stage.
Inspired by the lives of the actual von Trapp family, The Sound of Music tells the uplifting story of Maria, a fun-loving governess who changes the lives of the widowed Captain von Trapp and his seven children by re-introducing them to music, culminating in the family’s daring escape from the Nazis across the mountains from Austria.
An uplifting family musical that touches the hearts of all ages, The Sound of Music brims over with some of the most memorable songs ever performed on stage including; “My Favourite Things”, “Do Re Mi” and “Climb Ev’ry Mountain” to name a few.
Featuring a cast of 45 including newcomers Simon Rennie as Captain von Trapp and Martina Richardson as Maria, The Sound of Music will be another STAG show not to miss.
